Saturday Nite @ The Steakhouse: Steak Skewers

Ok just kidding, we didn’t go out to any steakhouse…but we didn’t have to! And neither do you! I DID however, go to Whole Foods yesterday and got 2 pounds of center cut sirloin. Yum! 


Here’s the marinade: marinate your lovely cubed beef pieces in this for about 8-10 hours (or overnight) 

  • 2 tbs Ginger/Garlic paste 
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbs Coriander powder
  • 1 tbs Garam Masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala 
  • 1 tsp Kasoori Methi
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbs Ancho Chili Powder 
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 cup of Plain, nonfat yogurt

Mix it all together in a large plastic bag, mix in the meat, and leave it alone in your fridge overnight! 

Skewer it when you’re ready for Steak Nite dinner:

Throw it (not literally, of course…I think) on the grill:  

And turn it over about 5 minutes later to cook evenly:  Cook for about 10-15 minutes…I like mine Medium-ish.   

EAT. ENJOY. REPEAT!!!
