A Physiological Process

There are many physiological side effects of studying for Physiology. For example, please observe the following demonstration:  

This process is referred to as ‘highlighter fraying’. Treatment options include: Stop studying, and find a new highlighter. 

During the process of studying for this physiology final exam, my dear friend brought chocolate cigar cookies from the Chinatown mart next door:

At first, I had an entire cookie:

In the background, you can see a beautifully drawn nephron (functional unit of the kidney)- distal convoluted tubule and all. I decided to take one bit of the cookie (because I wouldn’t want my plasma glucose levels to be so low… Besides, the proximal convoluted tubule can only reabsorbed so much glucose when it’s available in the filtration membrane):
